Imposter
Everybody knows where they are. One of you is guessing.
Everyone is given the same location on their own phone. One person is not. They have to work out where the rest of you are before you work out that they do not know.

How it plays
The cards are dealt privately, then the phones go down and the talking starts. You ask each other questions about the place, and the answers have to be specific enough to prove you know it and vague enough not to hand it to the person who does not. When somebody is sure, the room votes. If you point at the right player they still get one chance to name the location and steal the round back, which keeps the last thirty seconds honest.
What happens in a round
Straight from the game itself: these are the phases the room moves through, in order, with the clock each one starts on.

- A table that would rather talk than tap
- Groups who like a game with an argument built into it
- A room of three upwards, with or without the telly
How you can play it
Pass and play
One phone, passed around the room. No signal needed, no accounts, nothing to set up.
Online room
Everybody on their own phone, in the same room or three hundred miles apart. Guests join with a four letter code and no download.
Party screen
The telly or a laptop shows the game to the whole room. Phones become controllers, so nobody has to squint at somebody else’s screen.
Play it with your own words
Every format runs on a deck, and you can write your own. A deck you make is yours to share with your family by code straight away. Anything you publish to strangers is read by a moderator first.
